|Dorian Finney-Smith||#21||SF (#4)||He is a long, versatile and athletic forward who has a good face-up game and is a good offensive rebounder and shot-blocker for his position. He is a great slasher and gets to the basket consistently and is one of the better ball-handlers at the small forward position.|
|Robert Brown||NR||SG (NR)||Brown is an effort guy who excels in transition and finishes well around the rim. He is a great slasher and has all the assets you want a slasher to have between his floater, body control and ability to finish through contact.|
|C.J. Barksdale||NR||PF (NR)||Barksdale is a versatile forward who has good length and athleticism. He runs the floor well, is a good slasher and can knock down the mid-range jumper. He has also shown the ability to score with his back to the basket.|
|Marquis Rankin||NR||PG (NR)||Like Brown, Rankin excels in transition and loves to play in an up-tempo style offense. He is also quick and intelligent and is productive whenever he gets into the lane because he can finish and make a nice pass.|
This Hokie recruiting class is filled with slashers and athletic prospects who excel in transition and finishes around the basket well. Small forward Dorian Finney-Smith (#21) is the prized recruit and like power forward C.J. Barksdale, is versatile. He also affects the game in a variety of ways on both ends of the floor whether it’s his shot-blocking skills or ability to hit the face-up jumper. Point guard Marquis Rankin and shooting guard Robert Brown will help Virginia Tech since both are very productive once they get in the lane because of their passing skills and abilities to finish. Look for every guy in this class to be a starter by the time they’re an upperclassman and to help the Hokies compete in the ACC.
