What are you looking for in your potential college?
I want to be comfortable, have a good relationship with the coach, and be in a system I like.
What has basketball taught you off the court and in life?
That I am part of something much bigger than myself, it is a privilege to be a member of a team, [and] hard work pays off.
What do you think you need to improve upon and what are you doing to improve?
Being confident and pushing myself to do things I am not comfortable doing.
What’s your favorite thing about basketball?
Working with my teammates to accomplish a common goal. I also love the noise of a big crowd.
How has playing high school basketball helped your development?
It has helped me mature as a person. I have learned how to push myself and how to handle a coach that demands a lot out of me because he thinks I can accomplish anything I put my mind to.
How has Coach Auer helped you in the recruiting process?
He talks to the coaches a lot. He helps keep me calm and he gives me good things to think about while I am trying to decide what school to go to.
How have you taken the role as leader for your team?
I try to be a leader by playing hard all the time. I want my teammates to know they can count on me.
Why are you such a good rebounding and scoring threat?
My coach has good system for me, we share the ball as a team, all of us are confident on offense, [and] my teammates are very unselfish. It is easy to anticipate when my teammates are going to shoot which makes rebounding a lot easier.
Why have you been able to win multiple state championships?
Our coach makes sure we work every day in practice and he keeps us focused on our next opponent. We all believe in our system and each other. We have a great team.
We post our interviews with the top prospects every Monday so look every week to check them out.
