Gary Harris Player Profile

Evaluation: Harris is an impressive prospect who I enjoy watching every time I see him play. He does a good job using his length and athleticism on the defensive end to keep his opponent out of the lane in addition to blocking and altering shots. He also has good explosiveness and is terrific in transition where he’s a force to be reckoned with. On the offensive end, he’s great in attacking the basket and gets into the lane seemingly at will. Harris is a very good finisher around the bucket too but one thing he can improve is his perimeter shooting, although he has showed the ability to knock them down at times.

Notes: Committed to Michigan State November 9, 2011; Mother an All-American at Purdue

Awards: 2012 McDonald’s All-American, 2012 Jordan Brand Classic participant, 2012 Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year, 2012 Nike Hoop Summit participant
