D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera Player Profile

Evaluation: Smith-Rivera does a good job of getting to the bucket and opening up scoring opportunities for his teammates. He is strong in getting into the lane and displays good passing and matching court vision. He is also able to consistently get by his defender and is willing to play inside the paint and rebound. Smith-Rivera is a versatile guard with a high basketball-IQ and a solid mid-range jumper. However, some of the things that hinder his game the most are his physical tools such as his speed [or lack thereof] and quickness.

Notes: Committed to Xavier October 23, 2010; De-committed from Xavier December 26, 2010; Committed to Georgetown October 15, 2011; Transferred to Oak Hill Academy (VA) for his senior year of high school

Awards: 2012 All-American Championship participant
