Brandon Ashley Player Profile

Evaluation: Ashley is the best combo-forward in the class of 2012 and is a terrific all-around talent. He is very versatile and can score in multiple ways whether it’s a short jumper, post-up move or drive to the basket. He also runs the floor very well and is a good shot-blocker due to his length. Ashley is also a smart and savvy basketball player. His rebounding is solid as well but he needs to get stronger and be a more physical player which would help his defense. He also needs to improve his foot work and polish his low-post play on both offense and defense. Ashley can do a variety of things especially in transition between his ball-handling, passing abilities and athleticism.

Notes: Committed to Arizona August 29, 2011; Transferred to Findlay Prep (NV) from Bishop O’Dowd (CA) for his senior year

Awards: 2012 McDonald’s All-American, 2012 Jordan Brand Classic participant, 2011 San Francisco Chronicle All-Metro Team, 2011 California Division III First Team
