B.J. Young

Name: B.J. Young

Overall Rank: #18

Position (Rank): Point Guard (#6)

College: Arkansas

High School: McCluer North (Missouri)

Height: 6’3

Weight: 170

Evaluation: Young is a great scorer who gets to the basket at will and always attacks the defense. He is great off the dribble and can get by nearly any defender since he is quick and explosive. He is also very athletic and has a good mid-range game which makes him an elite player since he can score even if he can’t get to the bucket. Young needs to improve his perimeter shooting so he can have the full package while he is on offense. His decision-making can also be improved as he gambles too much for steals on defense when he has the ability to just stay in front of whoever he is guarding. Expect Young to make an immediate impact for the Razorbacks especially on the offensive end where he can score a lot of points in a short amount of time.

Notes: Committed to Arkansas in September, 2010

Awards: All-American Championship Participant

Stats: Senior year– 28.6 ppg, 4.3 apg and 4.2 rpg
