Class of 2013 power forward Malik Price-Martin says he’s still wide open, but he identifies Louisville as his favorite program in a couple of different categories.
“My favorite coaching staff is Louisville,” Price-Martin told NRS. “I just like their style of play.” He also enjoyed his visit to Louisville more than any other visit that he has taken to any other program.
“I’ve visited Ohio State, Louisville and Miami,” the 6’9, 200-pound big man said. “I enjoyed the Louisville one the most because they have nice facilities, I like the coaches, the location and two of my friends went with me — [class of 2013 wings shooting guard] Anton Gill (Louisville) and [small forward] Greg McClinton.”
The Florida native is looking to take a couple of more visits too. “I know I’m supposed to go to Memphis real soon but I don’t know when,” he added. “I’ve always wanted to go to Memphis, see the campus and see what they have to offer me. I also want to visit USC in California. I just know it’s nice out there and I’ve always wanted to see the campus.”
Price-Martin lists a plethora of offers from programs such as USF, Memphis, Ohio State, Louisville, Miami, South Carolina, Syracuse and Florida and interest from Kansas State. He also has no timetable for when he wants to commit.
However, he does know what he’s looking for in a school. “I just want to go to a school where my offensive game will fit in with the program, somewhere not too far — like I’m not going to the Northwest — and where I’ll get a good education,” Price-Martin says. “I want to be in a fast, up-tempo system with a lot of transition basketball.”
