With a new year comes 365 days to watch the top high school basketball recruits in the country and 2012 is bringing us a plethora of opportunities to watch the stars of tomorrow today thanks to the ESPN family of networks.

If you look at our updated calendar of events, there’s almost a dozen televised games in the first few weeks of January. You’ll be able to see four of the five best squads in the country as #1 Brewster Academy (NH) takes on #5 Tilton School (NH) January 15 and #2 Findlay Prep (NV) battles against #4 Simeon Career Academy (Ill) January 16.

Between these two match-ups alone, you’ll get to see class of 2012 power forwards Brandon Ashley (Arizona), Anthony Bennett, Mitch McGary (Michigan) and Georges Niang (Iowa State) and class of 2013 stars small forward Jabari Parker and center Nerlens Noel. You can also see the best player in the class of 2012 twice since small forward Shabazz Muhammad‘s Bishop Gorman High School (NV) team plays January 16 and January 21.

One day you should definitely mark down is January 16 as ESPNU is televising a quadruple-header starting at 11am and ending at around 7pm. That’s eight hours in a row of watching the best basketball players in the country and, for your convenience, is on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a federal holiday.

Make sure you keep checking our calendar regularly as we continually add events including ones that aren’t televised but ones you should know about.
