Brannen Greene on Louisville visit: “It was great, I loved it”

Class of 2013 shooting guard Brannen Greene visited the University of Louisville yesterday, marking the sixth unofficial visit he’s taken to date — the others being Alabama, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Ohio State and South Carolina.

“It was great,” Greene told NRS, “I loved it. I saw practice, toured the campus, went to the Yum! Center and chilled with the players in the dorm. The Yum! Center was amazing and all the players were cool and fun to hang out with.”

Greene also had the chance to get to know head coach Rick Pitino better. “I hung out with coach P in his office, he’s a really nice guy,” added Greene. “He just talked about the tradition of the program and the fans and things like that.” When asked what particularly attracted him to Louisville during the visit, he alluded to the overall atmosphere and spirit.

However, this visit was more of a confirmation of what Greene was previously feeling rather than a change in his recruitment. Says Greene, “I definitely like Louisville and always have but it doesn’t change anything.”

The only other visit he has planned right now is another trip to Alabama tomorrow. Although he doesn’t have anything else planned, he did tell us a couple of weeks ago that he may be interested in visiting Duke and Florida State again. He also told us in the same interview that Florida, Memphis, Duke, Alabama and Florida State are recruiting him the hardest.

Greene insists he has no list as of yet and that no schools are sticking out right now but he has told us that he’ll probably get together a list by the end of the calender year and commit soon after.
