Class of 2012 small forward Jeremy Hollowell (#37) chose the Hoosiers today over Cincinnati, Ohio State, and Purdue, giving them the top recruiting class thus far. “With Indiana, I saw something amazing was about to happen,” said Hollowell. “I didn’t want to regret it.” Hollowell joins power forward Hanner Perea (#16), point guard Kevin Ferrell (#17), shooting guard Ron Patterson, and center Peter Jurkin, rounding out a class with a player from every position. Hollowell is a great slasher with a lot of potential and gets into the lane at ease, something Indiana will consistently use.
Coach Tom Crean has down an amazing job with this class considering many more prospects are considering the Hoosiers, including four top-50 guys in Gary Harris shooting guard (#12), shooting guard D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera (#32), small forward Wannah Bail (#41), and center A.J. Hammons (#47). Indiana has a legitimate chance to put together the best recruiting class in a long time (like Villanova), and still has a long time to do it. This class is already superb but with another year to convince more prospects to come to Indiana, Crean can make the Hoosiers a power house with simply one recruiting class.
