Gators grab another one

Florida Head Coach Billy Donovan landed another top-50 recruit today when point guard Braxton Ogbueze committed to the Gators over Baylor, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Ogbueze is a 6’1”, 185 combo guard who has some of the best ball-handling skills in his year and consistently utilizes dribble-penetration to get into the lane and make plays. He is also able to finish through contact and has a solid stroke. The interesting thing about Ogbueze is that he’s a combo guard trying to develop into a point guard and has made great progress in the past year after running the show for his high school team throughout the season. Ogbueze has a lot of upside and is only getting better so don’t be surprised if his stock soars throughout the summer and next basketball season. This is Florida’s second big-time recruit in the class of 2012, the other being #39 Michael Frazier, and their best point guard commitment is a while.
