Blue Devils Strike Again

Duke got a committment from their second 2012, 5-star prospect in less than a week with Rasheed Sulaimon choosing the Blue Devils over Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, and Texas A&M. Sulaimon is a high-energy guard who excels in transition and is a threat to score in a plethora of ways. He is athletic but also had a nice mid-range game where he is very good at hitting the pull-up jumper. He is very versatile as well who can guard multiple positions and can get by defenders with his quick first step. Sulaimon should fit into the Blue Devils’ system very nicely as it will be more fast-paced and up-tempo when he arrives in Durham but don’t expect him to be an immediate starter as Duke already has Seth Curry and Andre Dawkins who will be seniors and can play the two-guard extremely well. However, Sulaimon will be a contributor when he first gets to Cameron and has a very good shot at earning a starting role his sophomore year for the Blue Devils so don’t be surprised if you see him making an impact a few years from now.
