Evaluation: Cleare is simply a huge big man that is strong, rebounds very well and has good body control. He runs the floor well at times and is impossible to stop in transition when he gets out on the break. He also displays a nice hook shot in the low post and has the ability to make some nice passes when he’s double-teamed in the interior. Cleare has good hands and impressive touch around the basket although he can improve his interior scoring and mid-range game. If he can get into good shape and consistently get out on the break, he’d be nearly unstoppable in transition. He’s a great get for Maryland and will certainly help them in the interior.
