SF (#5) |
Dawson is easily one of the best rebounding wing players in the class and is simply dominant on the boards because of his strength and athleticism. He is another prospect who is elite in transition where he finishes with authority. He is also a great slasher and has the ability to defend all three perimeter positions on defense. | ||

Kearney is a versatile scorer who excels in transition. He can slash to the bucket, knock down three-pointer or pull up and hit the mid-range jumpers. He also has good length and good ball-handling skills. |
|
Dwaun Anderson |

SG (NR) |
Anderson is a tremendous athlete who is unstoppable in transition and is one of the best finishers in the class of 2011 above the rim. He’s a good scorer with an improving jump shot and has a lot of potential. |
|
Travis Trice |
NR |
PG (NR) |
Trice is a terrific scorer who has a high basketball-IQ. He’s more of a scorer than a point guard and he needs to develop better floor general skills like his passing, court vision, etc. |
Evaluation
Branden Dawson is clearly the prized recruit in this class but Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo landed a few other good prospects who have a combination of athleticism, scoring ability and versatility. This group of guys will certainly add to the depth of the Spartans’ back court and will all make an impact for Michigan State. Dawson will make a big impact immediately in the starting line-up and will help Michigan State’s 179 ranked points per game average. The whole group will fit into Izzo’s system well and will excel in transition.
