Quick Analysis

Wayne Blackshear

#22

SG (#6)

Blackshear is a big-time scorer and has great range out to well behind the three-point line and can rebound well. He also dribbles well and gets to the basket consistently and is a very solid defender.

Chane Behanan

#35

PF (#8)

Behanan is a strong, athletic power forward who has a great game when he’s facing the basket. He has a very nice spin move that consistently works and can knock down a 20-foot jumper. Behanan is also a good passer and finishes well when he gets to the basket.

Zach Price

NR

C (NR)

Price has good size and length and just missed out on our top 50. He is a great shot-blocker and is a good scorer in the low-post. He can also rebound well and has a lot of potential, particularly as an interior scorer.

Kevin Ware

NR

SG (NR)

Ware is a great athlete who excels in transition and is a tremendous finisher above the rim. He is a spectacular slasher from the wing and has improved his perimeter shooting so it too is respectable now.

Angel Nunez

NR

SF (NR)

Nunez has good size, length and athleticism although he is very skinny. He is a good shooter with very good range and needs to get stronger and have a more aggressive mentality if he wants to produce for the Cardinals.

Evaluation

The Cardinals have a strong class coming in between elite shooting guard Wayne Blackshear (#22) and power forward Chane Behanan (#35). Blackshear is a big-time scorer and has great range out to well behind the three-point line and can rebound well. He also dribbles well and gets to the basket consistently and is a very solid defender. Also, you have Behanan who is a strong, athletic power forward who has a great game when he’s facing the basket. He has a very nice spin move that consistently works and can knock down a 20-foot jumper. Behanan is also a good passer and finishes well when he gets to the basket. With shooting guard Kevin Ware‘s recent commitment, Louisville has a terrific athlete too who is a slasher supreme. Center Zach Price also gives the Cardinals a big body down low as well as a potentially elite scorer in the interior.
