Class of 2012 center Nerlens Noel committed to Kentucky moments ago over Georgetown and Syracuse.
Noel joins an already impressive class for head coach John Calipari that includes shooting guard Archie Goodwin, small forward Alex Poythress and center Willie Cauley-Stein.
Noel, a 6’11, 216-pound big man, is an extraordinary shot-blocker who has good size, length and mobility. The Massachusetts native fits right into Calipari’s system and is the best possible replacement for Anthony Davis.
The Wildcats now have the second best recruiting class in the country, ranked only behind Arizona’s four-person haul.
