We recently finished an interview with the #16 overall prospect in the class of 2012, Hanner Perea (Indiana). Perea attends La Lumiere School in Indiana and is a power forward who stands at 6’8”, 210. He is also an All-American Championship participant. He talked to us about why he chose Indiana, why he committed so early, and much more so make sure you check on Monday to see the full transcript of our interview with him. To see why he’s such a highly touted recruit, check out our evaluation of him below:
16. Hanner Perea PF (Indiana)- Perea is the best athlete of the class who has great length and will be an impact player for the Hoosiers. He is very raw and undeveloped but is great in transition and is a great finisher. He also rebounds well and is a good shot-blocker. Perea is versatile as well because of his athleticism and length which enables him to guard multiple positions in the front court. He has a lot of skill sets that he needs to develop such as his face-to-the-basket scoring, back-to-the-basket scoring, and general shooting abilities. He is by far the player with the most potential in the class between his physical gifts and raw talent so look for him to be a three or four-year player for Indiana and to make some ESPN top-ten plays of the week.
