Austin McBroom decided on the Chippewas today in a move that is giving Central Michigan some depth at the point guard position. Central Michigan is addressing a big need here as no player on the team averages three assists and Amir Rashid, their leading-assistman, is graduating. The Chippewas also signed Jorddan Myrick earlier this season which gives McBroom some competition for the starting spot. Whoever wins the job should be able to have solid assist numbers even in their freshman year since they will have Trey Zeigler, a freshman averaging 17 ppg, to pass the ball to. McBroom is a good shooter who can makes some nice dishes so don’t be surprised if he turns out to be the floor general for Central Michigan some time in his collegiate career.
